The stunning Julie Penrose sculpture fountain situated at America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs, is a popular addition to the Colorado fine arts center. This unique water feature provides sculptural art while integrating a water feature with mountainous views in the background.
Designed by Bill Burgess and David Barber, the rotating sculpture fountain is a 4-story-tall steel structure named ‘Continuum’ that was completed in 2007. It is an open loop of silvery steel panels fitted with 366 water jets that line the interior contours of the form. Beneath the sculpture is a hidden turntable which allows it to rotate every fifteen minutes, providing different views of the sculpture.
