Te Papa Tongarewa Museum or Te Papa Museum, is New Zealand’s innovative and interactive national museum, located on Wellington’s spectacular waterfront.

The main building have six floors with five main collections areas – Arts, History, Taonga Māori, Pacific Cultures, and Natural History. Te Papa has a mixture of long term exhibitions as well as changing exhibitions. It has cultural and interactive exhibitions. Some exhibitions explores the great treasures and stories of the New Zealand – its unique natural environment, history and important works of art.

Visitors can engage in the interactive displays which appeal to all ages. Come face to face with the world’s largest specimen of rare colossal squid, then explore its life through 3D animation. With a combination of the latest technology and classic story-telling, Te Papa educates, entertains, and inspires.

Te Papa also incorporates outdoor areas with artificial caves, native bushes and wetlands. Rest and recharge at one of the cafes, then browse the shops for a perfect gift or souvenir.
