The most prestigious French cinema events, a glittering celebration previewing new films of all genres, including documentaries from all around the world.

The annual Cannes Film Festival, also known as Festival de Cannes, is a magnificent red carpet event, an international film festival held in Cannes, France. Founded on 20th September 1946, the Festival of Cannes, draw the biggest names in the film industry for eleven days of movie screenings, red carpet action and exclusive parties.

The French event is renowned for giving a platform to upcoming directors and performers of all nationalities. The most reputable award given in this festival is Palme d’Or also known as {Golden Palm}, which is awarded for the best film. The second most prestigious award is the Grand Prix, which is given by the jury of Festival de Cannes to one of the competing feature films.

Highly-anticipated is the Un Certain Regard award, which celebrate and recognize young and innovative talents and daring works. Several other awards, including Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress – those are chosen by the jury from the movies competing for a Palme d’Or and Un Certain.

As A-listers, models and VIPs walk the red carpet and climb the iconic 24 steps up to the Palais des Festivals to view the latest film premieres, the paparazzi are out in full force and a spectacular fleet of super-yachts can be spotted lined up nearby in the Old Port of Cannes.
