It is one of Europe’s biggest and colorful event which celebrate the Caribbean heritage, culture and traditions, with huge processions, dancing, music and food.
The vibrant Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event, where the streets of west London come alive with the biggest street festival, during the August bank holiday weekend. It is a huge Caribbean party, where over two million people attend.
The Notting Hill Carnival was first held in 1966 as an offshoot of the Trinidad Carnival, celebrating Caribbean culture and traditions in London. Today, the annual event takes place over two days on the streets of Notting Hill, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The huge Carnival is a vivid and thrilling spectacle featuring colorful parade, fantastic live music, including reggae, dub and salsa. There are also static sound systems, soca floats, steel bands, Caribbean-themed outdoor entertainment and a whole lot of delicious Caribbean food.
