Experience an amazing multi-course Nordic meal and impeccable service at this Michelin-star restaurant in Copenhagen with one of the world’s top winning chef.
Geranium is the first three-Michelin-star restaurant in Copenhagen. It is housed on the 8th floor of the Tiel Parken stadium, which is also home to FC Copenhagen, the most successful football club in the nation. Geranium’s floor to ceiling windows provide a panoramic view of the surrounding area. The interior is stylish and strictly Scandinavian with white and gray color scheme with an open kitchen.
The restaurant is a top notch of a growing breed of Nordic restaurants practicing its homeland’s minimalist, simple cooking; what sets it apart from many others, however, is the tremendous skill of head chef and Bocuse d’Or Legend Rasmus Kofoed. Rasmus Kofoed is a triple winner of the gold, silver, and bronze medals – the most winning chef in Bocuse D’ore-competition ever. His partner, Søren Ledet, is a fellow chef turned sommelier who runs the beautiful dining room as well as collating a fascinating classic wine list.
The seemingly unlikely duo of nature and technology are at the heart of chef Kofoed’s progressive tasting menu, inspired, artistic courses composed of organic and wild Scandinavian ingredients. A seasonal “Geranium Universe” tasting menu is offered both lunch and dinner, which consist of fifteen plus courses. The dishes are extremely inventive in engaging multiple senses – the plating, the smells, the textures are just transcendental. Dining at Geranium is New Nordic cuisine at its finest.
