Enjoy a unique dining experience against an impressive backdrop of thundering waterfall whilst bathing feet in water, and listening to soft traditional music.
The Villa Escudero Waterfall restaurant also known as The Labasin Waterfalls Restaurant, is certainly a unique restaurant, one of the center-pieces of Villa Escudero. The restaurant offers Philippines’ rich cultural heritage, cuisine, and natural beauty.
Located in the midst of the historical Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort, about 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) south of San Pablo, and 2-3 hours from Manila. It offers breathtaking views of the Philippine countryside.
The Waterfall Restaurant is built at the base of the Labassin Falls, where guests can enjoy a traditional Filipino buffet lunch, on bamboo tables while soaking their feet in the shallow running water. The surrounding forest and refreshing Labasin waterfall create the soothing ambiance of the place where guests can relax and dine to the soft tunes of traditional music and performances by local dancers.
Labasin Falls is not actually a natural waterfall, but a runoff from the Labassin Dam, the Philippines first hydroelectric plant which was built in the country to provide energy for its dried coconut factory and its own villa. The reservoir of the dam has turned into a lake with different tourist attractions. But, despite Labassin being an artificial falls, dining with water running over your feet would certainly be a unique and memorable experience.
